The Mayor may appoint three female matrons on a standby only basis for purposes of transportation of any females or any other service where a female’s presence is needed, pursuant to state statute or local rule. Such matrons must be at least 21 years of age and of good moral character. Said matrons are employees at will of the village and their term of employment can be suspended or terminated by the Mayor for any good cause shown.
