§ 34.028  APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL POLICE OFFICERS.
   On application being made to him or her, the Mayor may appoint any suitable person in the employ of any corporation, association, individual or firm, as a special police officer in and for said village special police officers shall have all the qualifications required in the case of regular patrol officers; they shall take and subscribe the same oath, give like bond, exercise the same power, be under the control of the same authorities, and be subject to the same rules and regulations of the Police Department so far as the same are applicable to them; provided, however, that such special police officers shall not be compensated by nor deemed to be employees of the village.
