§ 34.017  SUPERVISION OVER PROPERTY.
   The Chief of Police shall have general supervision of all books, records, equipment and other property belonging to the Police Department, and of stolen goods seized and detained by police authority. Upon expiration of his or her term of office, or resignation or removal therefrom, he or she shall surrender to his or her successor in office, all books, records, equipment, property and other effects coming into his or her possession by virtue of his or her office.
