§ 34.012  OATH, BOND, SALARY.
   Before entering upon the duties of the office of Chief of Police, a person shall take the oath prescribed for all city officers, and enter into bond in the penal sum of $5,000, with good and sufficient sureties to be approved by the Village Board, condition upon the faithful performance and discharge of his or her duties in such office. He or she shall receive such salary or compensation as the Village Board by ordinance or resolution may direct.
