§ 34.008  HEARING REQUESTED.
   Any full-time, regular, sworn member of the Department, who has completed at least six months of continuous service with the Department, and who is suspended more than three days by the Chief of Police and such suspension is upheld upon review by the Police Committee, or who is dismissed from service by the Mayor, may request a hearing on such disciplinary action before the Village Board, by submitting a written request for such hearing to the Village Clerk within five days after such disciplinary action is upheld or imposed by the Police Committee. No temporary patrol officer, special police or any clerical staff assigned to the Police Department, nor any member of the Police Department who has not successfully completed his or her probationary period, is entitled to said review hearing before the Village Board.
