§ 153.07 ELECTRICAL COMMISSION.
   (A)   In accordance with the provisions of 65 ILCS 5/11-37 et seq., there is hereby established an Electrical Commission for the City of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
   (B)   The Electrical Commission shall be composed of six members, as follows: The Electrical Inspector, who shall be ex-officio Chairman; and of the other five members who shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council, one shall be an electrical contractor, one a journeyman electrician, one the Chief of the Fire Department and one a representative of an electricity supply company; and one a registered professional engineer.
   (C)   The Electrical Commission shall have such powers as are fixed by statute and by ordinance, including this Article; it shall interpret this Article, where necessary, hear appeals from the orders of the Electrical Inspector and make recommendations to the Electrical Inspector and City Council.
   (D)   The members of the Electrical Commission shall serve without pay, including the Electrical Inspector, for his services in this behalf.
   (E)   Each member of the Electrical Commission shall serve for a period of three years from the date of his appointment or until his successor shall be appointed.
