§ 153.01 DEFINITIONS.
   The following terms and words, as they are used in this Article are defined as follows:
   ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR. Any person, firm or corporation engaged in the business of installing or altering by contract, electrical equipment for the utilization of electricity for light, heat or power, not including radio apparatus or equipment for wireless reception of sounds and not including apparatus, conductors and other equipment installed for or by public utilities, including common carriers, under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Commerce Commission or other public utilities for use in their operation as public utilities.
   ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. Conductors and equipment installed for the utilization of electricity, supplies for light, heat or power, but does not include radio apparatus or equipment for wireless reception of sounds or signals and does not include apparatus, conductors, and other equipment installed for or by public utilities, including common carriers, which are under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Commerce Commission, or other public utilities for use in their operation as public utilities.
   ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR. The Building Official of the City appointed and compensated under Chapter 150 of the Revised Code of Ordinances of the City of Mt. Vernon, or any of his duly authorized agents.
   WORK, WIRING, APPARATUS, DEVICE AND SIMILAR WORDS AND TERM. Means and refers to and include all details in connection with any attachment or any part thereof of any and all similar things used in connection with electricity, either directly or indirectly.
