Neither the Building Official nor any other inspector or person making inspections or issuing permits under any Code enacted herein shall have any interest whatsoever, directly or indirectly, in the sale or manufacture of any material, process, or device entering into or used in or in connection with building construction, alterations, removal and demolition. Nor shall the Building Official, any inspector nor any person making inspections or issuing permits engage in the occupation or business of electrical work or contracting or be interested directly or indirectly in any firm or corporation engaged in such business during his or her term of office.
