Unless the context specifically indicates otherwise, the meaning of terms used in this Ordinance shall be as follows:
BUILDING MAIN OR SERVICE. The extension from any building or structure to the Public Main.
CITY. The City of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
DEPARTMENT. The Department of Public Utilities of the City of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
IDPH. The Illinois Department of Public Health.
PUBLIC MAIN. A water main in which all owners of abutting property have equal rights, and is controlled by public authority.
WATERWORKS. All facilities for collecting, storing, pumping, treating and provision of water.
