(A) Any elected official, employee or designated agent of the City of Mt. Vernon who knowingly and deliberately violates the provisions of this code will be open to civil suit without the legal protection of the City of Mt. Vernon. Furtheunore, such a violation of these procurement standards maybe grounds, subject to the City of Mt. Vernon discretion, for dismissal by the City of Mt. Vernon.
(B) Any contractor or potential contractor who knowingly and deliberately violates the provisions of these procurement standards will be barred from future transactions with the City of Mt. Vernon where federal funds are involved.
