The members of the Board shall receive no compensation for their services but shall be entitled to reimbursement for any reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of their duties as members of the Board, such expenses to be paid only upon approval of the City Council. They shall not be personally interested, directly or indirectly, in any contact entered into by the Board, or hold any remunerative position in connection with the construction, operation or maintenance of any of the property under their control as members of the Board.
