Any city is empowered to adopt and enforce land subdivision regulations for the purpose of:
(a) Promoting the public safety, health and general welfare;
(b) Assuring sites suitable for building purposes and human habitation;
(c) Coordinating subdivision streets with existing and planned streets and highways;
(d) Coordinating and extending facilities included in the Comprehensive Plan;
(e) Establishing minimum width, depth and area of lots within the projected subdivision;
(f) Distributing population and traffic in a manner tending to create conditions favorable to health, safety, convenience and the harmonious development of the City;
(g) Fair allocations of areas for streets, parks, schools, public and semi-public buildings, homes, utilities, business and industry;
(h) Providing proper land records for the convenience of the public; and
(i) Providing better identification and permanent location of real estate boundaries. (4-24-72)
