901.12 POLES, POSTS AND WIRES.
   (a)   Erection on Sidewalks. No person shall erect any telegraph pole, telephone pole, electric light pole or any other pole or post on any sidewalk at any point nearer the point of intersection of the curb or outside line of such sidewalk with the curb or outside line of any other sidewalk intersecting therewith, than where the front line of the property facing such other sidewalk, if projected across such first mentioned sidewalk, intersects the curb or outside line thereof.
   (b)   Cutting Down Poles. No person shall cut down any pole or post described in this section and to leave any stump or part of such pole or post remaining.
   (c)   Repair of Pavement. Whenever any pole or post described in this section is erected or removed, the person doing the work shall immediately, thoroughly and completely repair the pavement and restore it to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Public Works.
