§ 33.085 VACANCIES.
   (A)   Termination of appointment. Any Commission member designing to terminate his or her appointment to the Commissioner before the expiration of his or her term shall give written notification to the Commission chairperson of his or her intentions. It should be the duty of the chairperson of the Commission to notify the Authority promptly of any vacancies. The Authority President, with approval of a majority of the Authority Board of Commissioners, shall appoint a new member from applications received for the unfulfilled portion of the term.
   (B)   Removal from office. Any member of the Commission may be removed from office for just cause and on written charges by at least four-fifths of the entire Authority. The member may be entitled to a public hearing before such a vote is taken. An appointed member may also be removed by the Authority for non-attendance at Commission meetings if a Commissioner is absent from five regularly scheduled meetings per year or from three consecutive meetings, without the consent of the Commission.
