Where a proposed park, playground, school site or other public site, as shown on the Comprehensive Plan or Open Space Master Plan, is embraced in part or in whole by the boundary of a proposed subdivision and the public sites are not dedicated to the municipality or Board of Education, the public ground shall be reserved and no action taken toward approval of a subdivision for a period not to exceed 90 days to allow the Council or Board of Education the opportunity to consider and take action toward acquisition of the public ground or park by purchase or other means.
