The Flood Insurance Rate Map panels adopted by reference in § 154.005 of this chapter may include floodplain areas that lie outside of the corporate boundaries of the city at the time the city adopts this chapter. If the city annexes any of these floodplain land areas into the city after the date it adopts this chapter, the newly annexed floodplain lands shall be subject to the provisions of this chapter immediately upon the date of annexation into the city.
