Whenever any work is being done contrary to the provisions of the Fire Code or the city code, the Fire Marshal may order the work stopped by written notice served on any persons engaged in doing or causing the work to be done. Any such person shall forthwith stop the work until authorized by the Fire Marshal to proceed with the work.
