Every house and building located within the municipality shall have posted on it address numbers as assigned by the municipal staff. The numbers shall be so placed on the house or building so that they are easily discernible from the street, highway or roadway servicing the structure. Additional corresponding numbers may be placed on the mailbox servicing the structure or such other device that conforms to the provisions of the code. When possible, the numbers posted on the structure should be of material or within a lighted area so that the numbers can be easily ascertained in the darkness.
