Whenever any building work is being done contrary to the provisions of the Building Code or the city code, the Building Official may order the work stopped by notice, in writing, served on any persons engaged in doing or causing the work to be done, and any person shall forthwith stop the work until authorized by the Building Official to proceed with the work.
