Any person, firm or corporation who fails to comply with the provisions of these regulations shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $5 nor more than $100, and the costs of prosecution for each violation, and in default of payment of such forfeiture and costs and imprisonment in the county jail until payment thereof for a period not exceeding 30 days. Each day a violation exists or continues shall constitute a separate offense.
