§ 111.04 BOND.
   The Village Clerk, shall, before issuing a license, communicate with the employer of the applicant as disclosed by the application and ascertain whether or not the applicant is authorized or represents the employer, and the applicant shall further give a bond with an approved surety company guaranteeing to any citizen of the village that all money paid as a down payment will be accounted for and applied according to representations of the salespersons, that items purchased will be paid for as agreed, and further, guaranteeing to any citizen of the village who did business with the agent that the property purchased will be delivered according to the representations of the salespersons. The bond shall be in the principal sum of $200 and to be on a form to be provided by the Village Clerk. At the time of applying for the license, the prospective licensee shall pay to the Village Clerk the sum of $2 for the General Fund to cover the cost of issuing the license and of investigating the applicant. No license shall be granted by the Village Clerk until investigation has been made and the bond placed on file. The bond may be in the form of cash placed with a bond form as provided by the Clerk.
