153.15 JURY DUTY.
   (a)   Employees of the Municipality who serve on jury duty for a period not to exceed two (2) weeks shall be paid for up to eighty (80) hours paid leave at their regular rate of pay by the Municipality for the period of jury duty upon submission to the Mayor of proof of such jury service.
   (b)   If employees are required to serve jury or witness duty beyond the two (2) weeks or eighty (80) hours of paid leave, the Mayor may allow the employee to use any accrued unused vacation or personal leave hours to continue receiving compensation. The Mayor may also approve an extension of compensation, in his/her sole discretion, on a case-by-case basis.
   
   (c)   Any employee who receives compensation from the Municipality while serving on jury duty shall remit to the Municipality any and all compensation received for such jury service. (Ord. 2016-16. Passed 3-9-16.)
