§ 32.06 REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAINING COSTS.
   Pursuant to the provisions of Kentucky Revised Statutes, all newly hired peace officers who will participate in the Kentucky Law Enforcement Foundation Fund Program authorized by KRS 15.410 through 15.510 shall, as a condition of employment with the city, be required to enter into a reimbursement of training costs agreement providing that should the employee accept employment as a peace officer with another law enforcement agency within three (3) years from the date of graduation from the Department of Criminal Justice Training, that law enforcement agency shall reimburse the city for the actual costs incurred and expended which are associated with the initial hiring of the employee, including, but not limited to, the application and selection process, training costs, equipment costs, salary and fringe benefits from the time of the employee's initial application until graduation from the Department of Criminal Justice Training. Reimbursement shall be prorated pursuant to the Kentucky Revised Statutes based on the percentage of time that the employee has completed the three (3) year period following graduation.
