151.01 POLICY STATEMENT.
   It is the policy of The City of Moraine, Ohio to deposit and invest public funds in a manner which will provide a market return with the preservation and maximum security of invested funds while meeting the daily cash flow needs of the City. The Investment Policy is based upon recommended nationally approved policy formats and is intended to comply with all recognized legal and statutory regulations, adhering at all times to Charter of the City of Moraine, provided however that while the Ohio Uniform Investment Policy (Ohio R.C. Chapter 135) shall be used as a guideline, Moraine's Charter Municipality status allows it to vary from strict compliance therewith where deemed appropriate for City investments. The Finance Director is the investment officer primarily charged with the responsibility for the purchase and sale of investments and the execution of this investment policy, subject however, to periodic consultation with and review by City Council and its Treasury Investment Committee.
