135.01 PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING LEGAL OPINIONS FROM LAW DIRECTOR.
   (a)   Legal opinions from the Law Director shall be requested as follows:
      (1)   Boards and commissions may make written requests through the office of the City Manager.
      (2)   Department heads may make written requests through the office of the City Manager.
      (3)   The Finance and Clerk of Court may make written requests directly to the Law Director.
      (4)   Council may make verbal/written requests directly to the Law Director at any Council meeting; and may make verbal/written requests any other time through the City Manager.
      (5)   The Mayor may make verbal/written requests at any Council meeting directly to the Law Director. Due to Court related matters, emergency matters, or to enable the Mayor to carry out his/her duties as Chief Legislative Officer of the City, the Mayor may make verbal/written requests directly to the Law Director.
