(A) Purpose and Rate - 2.00% To provide funds for the purposes of general Municipal operations, maintenance, new equipment, extension and enlargement of Municipal services and facilities and capital improvements of the City of Moraine and to provide for the continuation, expansion and improvement of services to the citizens through responsible fiscal management by increasing staff, replacing and expanding the inventory of vehicles and equipment; making improvements and additions to existing facilities, streets, roads, parks, sewers, levees and waste disposal programs, providing for unanticipated expenditures and future development needs; and to provide for other permanent improvements and programs as deemed necessary by City Council there is hereby levied a tax at the rate of two percent (2.00%) per annum on all salaries, wages, commissions and other compensation and on net profits as hereinafter provided, to be effective beginning January 1, 2016 and to run for an indefinite period of time thereafter.
(B) Purpose and Rate - 0.5% To provide for the continuation of general municipal operations and improvements of services to the citizens, there is hereby levied an additional tax at the rate of one-half of one percent (0.5%) per annum on all salaries, wages, commissions and other compensation and on net profits as hereinafter provided, to be effective beginning January 1, 2016 and ending on December 31, 2019.

(c) Purpose and Rate - 0.5%. To provide for the continuation of general municipal operations and improvement of services to the citizens there is hereby levied a continued income tax at the rate of one-half of one percent (0.5%) per annum on all salaries, wages, commission and other compensation and on net profits as hereinafter provided, to be effective beginning January 1, 2020 and to run for an indefinite period of time thereafter.
