741.02 UNLICENSED, UNINVITED SOLICITORS AND PEDDLERS.
   (a)    The practice of going in and upon residential property, or ringing a doorbell or knocking on a door of a private residence, including an apartment, in the City, by any solicitor or peddler not having been requested or invited so to do by the owner or owners, occupant, occupants or lessee of such private residence or apartments, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise, or peddling or hawking the same, is declared to be a nuisance.
   (b)    No peddler or solicitor, being uninvited, shall go on or upon residential property in the City, without a license as provided by this chapter, unless such entry is exempted from the operation of this chapter.
