734.09 EXPIRATION OF PERMIT.
   (a)   Each permit shall expire one (1) year from the date of issuance and may be renewed only by making an application for renewal as provided by Section 734.08. Application for renewal shall be made at least thirty (30) days before the expiration date; the expiration of the permit will not be affected.

   (b)   If the City Manager, or person designated by the City Manager, denies renewal of the permit, based on one of the reasons stated in Section 734.07, the applicant shall not be issued a permit under this chapter for one (1) year from the date of denial, unless, subsequent to the denial, the City Manager, or person designated by the City Manager, determines that the basis for denial of the renewal of the permit has been corrected, in which case the applicant shall be granted a permit if at least ninety (90) days have elapsed since the date of denial became final. The existing permit shall remain in effect until the renewal has been granted or, if denied, until the appeal process in Section 734.28 shall have been concluded.
