Whenever the Law Director is of the opinion that a junkyard secondhand shop, store or other similar place of business is being operated or maintained in violation of any of the provisions or sections of this chapter, he may apply in the name of the City to a court of competent jurisdiction alleging the violations complained of and praying for an injunction or other proper relief. In such a case, the court may order such junkyard, secondhand shop, store or other similar place of business abated as a nuisance or take such other action as may be proper. Any action brought under this section shall not be deemed a bar to a prosecution under Section 725.99.
