No person shall operate or maintain a junkyard, secondhand shop, store or other similar place of business or act as a junk or secondhand dealer in the City, whether personally, by agents or employees, singly or along with some other business or enterprise without having first obtained a license therefor from the Board of Investigators in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. A junkyard or secondhand dealer who operates more than one junkyard or secondhand shop or store or other similar place of business within the City shall be required to have in effect a separate license for each yard, shop, store or similar place of business.
