No person, firm or corporation shall charge, demand or receive as compensation for becoming surety or providing surety on any bail bond, recognizance bond, appeal bond, supersedeas bond or other court bond of any kind required to be filed in any criminal proceeding in the Mayor's Court, a sum in excess of ten percent (10%) of the amount of such bond. However, a minimum charge of ten dollars ($10.00) may be made on bonds in amounts of one hundred dollars ($100.00) or less. No additional fees, security, service charge or interest charge shall be assessed and the bond shall not be canceled until the case is finally disposed of unless such cancellation is approved by the Court.
