For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DRIVER. The person driving and having physical control over the motorized golf cart, utility task vehicle, or all-terrain vehicle and being the licensee.
MOTORIZED GOLF CART. Any passenger conveyance being driven with four wheels with four low-pressure tires that is limited in engine displacement of less than eight hundred (800) cubic centimeters and total dry weight less than eight hundred (800) pounds.
RECREATIONAL VEHICLE. Any self-propelled vehicle and any vehicle propelled or drawn by a self-propelled vehicle used for recreational purposes, including but not limited to snowmobiles, trail bikes, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility task vehicles (UTVs), hovercraft, and motor vehicles used for recreation. M.S. § 84.771.
SNOWMOBILE. A self-propelled vehicle originally manufactured and designed for travel on snow or ice steered by skis or runners.
