§ 70.34 REIMBURSEMENT OF COSTS.
   (A)   Prior to issuance of a permit, the Police Chief shall calculate the costs which may devolve upon the city as a result of the conduct of the parade or demonstration. Issuance of the permit shall be contingent upon the applicant’s depositing with the city an appropriate bond or cashier’s check in the amount necessary to defray the costs. Any portions of the deposit not used to pay for expenditures incurred shall be reimbursed to the applicant.
   (B)   These costs shall include but not be limited to the following:
      (1)   Pay and benefits to be earned by city police officers, officers made available from other jurisdictions specifically for the conduct of the event, or other city employees who would be required to work extra hours in preparation for the event or to ensure the safety of participants or spectators during the event;
      (2)   The cost of leasing any equipment deemed necessary for the specific purpose of safeguarding participants or spectators; and
      (3)   Costs of cleaning up debris or trash at the site of, or along the route of, the parade or demonstration.
