The following on premises signs require permits and are regulated according to the zoning district in which they are located:

Lots of intersecting streets or with frontage on 2 parallel streets are allowed 150% of the total allowable sign area, with no more than 100% on any 1 street.
For developments containing several buildings or businesses, a common signage plan for the development shall be submitted for approval. Each development may have a shared sign on any lot within the development if the total number of signs and the sum of allowed square footage for all properties are not exceeded.

   Location
No dynamic display sign may be placed within 150' of an area zoned for residential use.
 
   Visibility
Dynamic display signs must meet the visibility standards in section 10-22-3 of this chapter.
   Design elements
A. Only 1 dynamic display frame is allowed on a sign structure, and only 1 dynamic display is allowed per display surface.
B. Audio speakers and any form of pyrotechnics are prohibited in association with a dynamic display sign.
   Brightness
A. No sign illumination may be brighter than is necessary for clear and adequate visibility.
B. No sign may be of such intensity or brilliance as to impair the vision of a motor vehicle driver with average eyesight or to otherwise interfere with the driver's operation of a motor vehicle.
C. No sign may be of such intensity or brilliance that it interferes with the effectiveness of an official traffic sign, device or signal.
D. Any new sign from the date of this section shall be equipped with a properly functioning dimming mechanism.
 
Note:
   1.    Height limitations do not apply to wall mounted signs, except that roof mounted signs or wall mounted signs extending beyond the roof of a structure must comply with the sign height requirement.
