For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
TAXICAB. Any motor vehicle designed or constructed to accommodate or transport passengers, not more than six in number, exclusive of the driver, the principal operation of which is confined to the corporate limits of the town, and not operating over any definite route and the destination of which is designated by the passenger or passengers at the time of such transportation.
