(A) No parking when signs are posted or other notification of street cleaning is made. It shall be unlawful for any person to park, stand or fail to remove a vehicle of any kind parked along any street, alley or highway when notification of intent to clean such street is made.
(B) Time of notification. At least 48 hours shall elapse between the time of notification and the actual street cleaning, with the exception of those areas where signs are posted on a permanent basis, which shall include Main Street from its intersection with Monroe Street on the west side of town, east to the railroad tracks, and Indiana Street from State Road 67 north to Carlisle Street with no parking on these portions of Main Street on Monday morning from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. (except holidays). This section of Indiana and Main Streets shall be posted and no further notice shall be required to any party prior to them being subject to the tow-in provisions of division (D) below.
(C) Method of cleaning. Streets in residential areas shall be cleaned in an approved manner to allay any dust and to keep the operation as noiseless as possible. Streets may be cleaned on alternate sides on alternate days or in any manner which is deemed efficient by the town’s Street Department.
(D) Towing cars away. The Street Commissioner of the town’s Street Department or the town’s Police Department, pursuant to direction by the Street Commissioner, may cause cars to be towed away which are parked on the streets to be cleaned after proper notification is given as provided in division (B) above. Any car towed away may be reclaimed after paying the towing fee and storage fee.
(E) Enforcement. The Street Commissioner of the town shall have the authority to have signs posted and also to have the permanent notices posted on Indiana Street and Main Street providing no parking on Monday from 4:00 a.m. through 6:00 a.m. from Monroe Street to the railroad tracks on Main Street and from State Road 67 to Carlisle Street on Indiana Street (except holidays).
