(A) No person shall convert to himself or herself any property, commodity, thing of value, or service through a self-service system of acquiring property without paying for that property or making prior arrangement for payment therefor with the owner, attendant, or supplier of that property, commodity, thing of value, or service.
(B) It shall be prima facie evidence of a violation of this section for any person to leave the building or premises where property was obtained without first making full payment therefor with the owner, attendant, or supplier. Further, probable cause shall exist to effect an arrest of, or seek a warrant against, the registered owner of any vehicle used to leave a premise where property was obtained in violation of this section.
