Any person, firm, or corporation which violates, neglects, or refuses to comply with any provision of this chapter shall be fined upon conviction thereof, not more than $300 together with the cost of prosecution or shall be punished by the imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days for each such offence or may be both fined and imprisoned at the discretion of the court.
