Any person, firm, or corporation convicted of disposing of sewage in a manner contrary to the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subjected to a fine not to exceed $500 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 90 days or both, the fine and imprisonment is at the discretion of the court together with costs of the prosecution.
