Permits for the construction of iron warehouses in the city fire limits may be granted by the Mayor and Council when the application and specifications for the same shall show that the warehouse is to be built by nailing the sheet iron to studding or rafters and erected on a cement foundation detached from any other building, and wherein hot stoves of any kind are to be installed or used, but the same may be heated from a central furnace by hot air or steam, situated in another building. The Mayor and Council, however, reserve the right to grant or refuse to grant a permit for the erection of said iron warehouse.
