The Housing Officer’s authority to accept new applications for exemptions for areas designated as Community Reinvestment Areas shall terminate December 31, 2000, unless extended by Council. Further, Council reserves the right to reevaluate the designation of any Community Reinvestment Area at any time and to terminate the Housing Officer’s authority to accept new applications and/or to terminate the tax abatement privileges established by this chapter. Any such termination or limitation of authority of the Housing Officer shall not affect tax abatements previously granted. (Res. 565. Passed 11-27-96.)
