(a) The Clerk of Council is hereby selected as the default statutory designee as contemplated by Ohio R.C. 149.43 to attend any necessary training on behalf of all applicable elected officials.
(b) The Clerk of Council shall be deemed such statutory designee for all present elected officials and all future elected officials unless an elected official chooses another designee.
(c) Any elected official that chooses to have someone other than the Clerk of Council act as a statutory designee pursuant to Ohio R.C. 149.43(E), shall notify the Clerk of Council in writing, in which case the Clerk of Council shall not act as the elected official’s designee until such time as the elected official subsequently requests, in writing, that the Clerk of Council act as the elected official’s designee.
