(a) Service Charge. Each residence shall be charged a service charge of five dollars ($5.00) per month which charge includes the annual trash pickup (not garbage), an annual trash drop off, plus leaf and brush pickups as provided by the Municipality from time to time, plus maintenance of a composting site. Handicapped head of the houseshold and senior citizens sixty-two years of age and above who, upon application, can show financial hardship will be granted a one-dollar ($1.00) per month discount. Those customers not living within the boundaries of the Village shall be charged a surcharge of fifty percent (50%) of the service charge.
(b) Recycling Charge. Each residence shall be charged a recycling charge of up to five dollars ($5.00) per month. Senior citizens sixty-two years of age and above will be given discount of up to ($0.50) per month depending on the recycling contract currently in force.
(c) Special Garbage Bags.
(1) All curbside garbage pickups from residential, commercial and industrial establishments shall be placed only in special garbage bags. The cost of the bags will include all pickup and disposal costs. The number of special garbage bags for pickup will be unlimited.
(2) The price of special garbage bags shall be as follows: one dollar fifteen cents ($1.15) per bag in lots of ten and fifty bags.
(d) Other Charges.

(2) In addition to the above rates, there will be an extra charge for pickup of tires. The charges is as follows and stickers can be purchased at the utility offices:

(3) Collection of garbage and trash which requires a separate trip of the Collection Truck to the landfill, shall be charged for at a rate of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) plus all landfill cost for disposal for each such trip.

(4) Stickers can be purchased at the Utility Office for disposal of all Appliances containing Freon Gas at fifteen dollars ($15.00) each. This fee covers the Village’s cost for Freon removal and certification.
