8-1-7: UNLAWFUL USE:
A   Turning On Water After Being Turned Off Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person, after the water has been turned off from the premises for nonpayment of water charges or other violation of the ordinances, rules, regulations, or resolutions pertaining to the water supply, to turn on or allow the water to be turned on or used. (1978 Code § 14-122; amd. 1996 Code)
   B   Separate Connections:
1   Revocation Of Prior Consent: Any and all consent on the part of the City previously given that two (2) or more families or service users can be supplied from the same service pipe, connection or water meter is hereby revoked.
2   Exception: The City may consent that two (2) families or service users can be supplied by the same service pipe, connection or water meter where the premises served are owned by the same owner, when the cost of installing a second service line would be prohibitive. Authorization will not be granted unless the owner agrees, in writing, to pay all City charges for water, sewer service and garbage collection for the entire premises served so that the City will bill and look only to the owner of the premises for the payment of all charges for water supplied, sewer service and garbage collection service to the premises and will not look to the individual tenants or occupants. (Res. 91-1, 3-13-1991; amd. 1996 Code)
C   Unauthorized Users: It shall be unlawful for any water service user to permit any person from other premises or any unauthorized person to use or obtain water services regularly from his premises or water facilities, either outside or inside his premises. (1978 Code § 14-124)
D   Adjoining Premises: No consumer shall be permitted to conduct water pipes across lots or buildings to adjoining premises. (1978 Code § 14-127B; amd. 1996 Code)
E   Penalty: Violation of any provision of this section shall constitute a Class B misdemeanor, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-6 of this Code. (1996 Code)
