8-1-5: DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE; PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY:
   A   Notification; Permanent: Any customer desiring to discontinue service shall notify the City before the date when such service shall be discontinued. On giving such notice, the customer shall not be responsible for water bills incurred after the date specified in the notice. Any credit balance in favor of the customer as a result of an advance payment of bills or a deposit made will be refunded upon discontinuation of service. (1978 Code § 14-141; amd. 1996 Code)
   B   Temporary Disconnect; Fee: A charge will be assessed to any customer who requests that utility services be temporarily discontinued, which shall be set by resolution of the City Council.
   C   Reinstatement After Temporary Disconnect; Fee: A charge will be assessed to any customer who requests that their utility services be reinstated after temporary disconnect, which shall be set by resolution of the City Council. (Res. 95-2, 3-22-1995; amd. 1996 Code)
