5-3-3: DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS WITHIN CITY LIMITS:
   A   Firearms Defined: Pistols, revolvers, shotguns or rifles, and/or any device which could be used as a weapon as defined by Utah state law. (Ord. 2009-12, 3-24-2009, eff. 4-13-2009)
   B   Unlawful; Exception: It is unlawful for any person to discharge any firearm within the limits of the city; provided, that this section shall not apply to peace officers in the pursuit of official duties, persons acting in self-defense or to persons who are members of or guests at a shooting gallery or rifle club and who discharge their firearms within the safe confines of the club or gallery; provided, that adequate safety measures have been observed in the construction of the club or gallery so as to protect the health and safety of the public.
   C   Penalty: A violation of this section is a class B misdemeanor, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-6 of this code. (Ord. 93-2, 9-22-1993; amd. 1996 Code)
