The Fire Chief or his or her designee is authorized to respond to requests for mutual aid assistance in the form of Fire Department resources from any political subdivision within the state, agencies of the state, and federal agencies, for assistance within the state, pursuant to M.S. Ch. 12, as it may be amended from time to time, provided the emergency response needs of the city are not compromised and the City Administrator or his or her respective designee is notified when city Fire Department personnel and/or resources shall be committed to the mutual aid response in excess of 12 hours.
