(A) Pursuant to the authority granted by IC 36-1-4-10, the Common Council hereby establishes a “Downtown Christmas Decoration Gift Fund”, to be included within the general fund budget of the Street Department, to which shall be deposited donations of money to the city for the purchase of Christmas decorations and lighting for streets in downtown Monticello.
(B) Subject to the approval of the Common Council, the Street Superintendent may utilize monies in the fund to pay for costs and expenses pertaining to the purchase of Christmas decorations and lighting for streets in downtown Monticello.
