(A) There is hereby established a Police Department Gift Fund for the Police Department of the city and the City Clerk-Treasurer is directed to keep a full and complete record of all receipts thereto and disbursements therefrom.
(B) Subject to the approval of the Common Council, the Police Chief of the Department may use monies in such fund for:
(1) Making repairs and purchases of equipment needed by the Department;
(2) The purchase of gifts for Police Department retirees; and
(3) The payment of the cost of the meal at department banquet/award ceremonies for any honoree and their one guest attending such banquet/award ceremony.
