§ 73.50 REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT.
   A golf cart operated on a city street shall at all times be equipped with a mounted rear view mirror, two headlights, two brake lights and tail lights, front and rear turn lights. Headlights and tail lights must be illuminated at all times of operation. All such golf carts shall also be equipped with seatbelts for all passengers which must be used at all times of operation. All such golf carts shall also display a slow moving vehicle emblem mounted as near as is practicable to the center and at an approximate height of not less than 18 inches and not more than five feet from level ground or pavement surface, which emblem shall be mounted so as to be entirely visible from the rear, day or night. Such emblem and mounting thereof must meet the specifications established by rules adopted by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
